Ardis Elaine Carlstrom, 79, Crookston, MN, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016, with her loving family at her side, at Villa St. Vincent, Crookston, MN.

Ardis was born on October 3, 1936, to Oscar and Marion (Hill) Juvrud at Fosston, MN. She attended Moen Country School and the Fosston High School, graduating in 1954. Ardis' desire to be a nurse brought her to Deaconess Hospital Nursing Program in Grand Forks, ND. She graduated in 1957 and began a long career as a nurse.

On May 10, 1958, Ardis was united in marriage to Robert Carlstrom at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Crookston. Ardis began working at Bethesda Hospital, at Crookston, in 1957 (currently Riverview Hospital). The majority of her career was in the OB department and later she served as a Nursing Manager for the hospital. Ardis retired in 2001. Ardis and Robert resided in Crookston their whole married life and she moved to Summit Apartments in 2015.

As a fan of the Minnesota Twins, Ardis watched and listened to many games. Camping with family and friends in the summers developed great memories for all. She enjoyed playing card games, reading and caring for her roses. Ardis' sensitive spirit, nurturing heart and genuine love for others, especially her family, was seen in throughout her life.

Ardis is survived by her husband, Robert, Crookston, MN; children: Laurie (Gary) Coauette, Crookston, MN, Leslie Strem, Rochester, IN, Duane (Jodie), Moorhead, MN, Darin (Christy), East Grand Forks, MN, and Brad (Jenny), Crookston, MN; 11 grandchildren: Jordan Coauette (Justin Edstrom), Grant (Amber) Coauette, Jaron Strem, Logan Strem, Katie Carlstrom, Kaelin Carlstrom, Aubrie Carlstrom, Haylie Carlstrom, Natalie Carlstrom, Peyton Carlstrom, and Teagen Carlstrom; one great grandson, Anders Coauette; one brother, John "Jack" (Carol) Juvrud, Crookston, MN; sister-in-law, Marilyn Juvrud, Crookston, MN; brother-in-law, Neil Wogsland, Menahga, MN; and several cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Jan Strem, brother, Donald Juvrud, and sister-in-law, Kathy Wogsland.

Funeral: 11:00AM Saturday, April 9, 2016, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Crookston.

Visitation: Friday from 5-7PM with a 7PM prayer service all at the church.

Burial: Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston.
