Anton Boska, age 79, of Waubun, MN, died Thursday, February 14, 2019, at his home near Waubun.

Anton Emil Boska, the son of Anton J. and Lucie (Fisher) Boska, was born August 8, 1939, in Lake Grove Township.  He grew up and attended school near Waubun, MN. Anton was raised on the family farm and enjoyed working side by side with his Dad and helping his brother, Edward, overhaul tractors and machinery.  As a young man, Anton proudly served in the US Army before returning to the family farm. In 1964, he started playing accordion in two bands. In 1965, Anton started his own band called "The Travelers Dance Band" with his sister, Helen, who played the drums. Together they played in the band for many years. Anton also continued farming until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to music. He was also a longtime member of ZCBJ Lodge #168 of Mahnomen. Anton will always be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Anton is survived by a host of friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Lucie Boska; brother, Edward Boska; and sisters, Angeline Hamre and Helen Boska.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen, MN.
