Watch Tony's Funeral Mass

Anthony "Tony" David Jaeger, age 56, of Winger, MN, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at his home.

Anthony David Jaeger was born on June 8, 1969, in Fosston, MN, to Jerald and Phyllis (Houska) Jaeger. He grew up in Mahnomen, where he attended school and was a proud member of the class of 1988. From a young age, Tony was active as a Cub Scout and later excelled in high school football. On September 3, 1994, he was united in marriage to Jill Brevik, and they later separated.

Over the years, Tony worked a variety of jobs that showcased his strong work ethic and steady nature. He spent time with Marvin Windows, CPR Railroad, and Nelson Services, Inc., before finding his place with Digi-Key, where he dedicated more than a decade of service. While he was proud of his work, his greatest accomplishment, and the role that brought him the most joy, was being a dad.

Tony will be remembered as a simple, laid-back guy. He was quiet and reserved at first, but once he warmed up, his wit and personality shone through. Friends and family will never forget his quick comebacks, often followed by his signature chuckle. He enjoyed the little joys in life casting a line, deer hunting, tending to his vegetable gardens, going for drives enjoying nature, and looking for deer.

Tony's legacy will live on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories he created with those dearest to him.

Tony is survived by his children: Kourtney (Andy) Frank, Karlie Jaeger, Karter Jaeger, Keaton Jaeger, and Kenadie Jaeger; granddaughter, Everleigh; mother, Phyllis Jaeger; siblings, Scott (Rachael) Jaeger and Rhonda Jaeger; and many nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Jerald Jaeger; all of his grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, and close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation starting one hour before, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Mahnomen, MN. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Mahnomen.
