Annie Laurie Chilton Hull Bement, age 93, of Fosston, MN, formerly Mahnomen, MN, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at her daughters home in Lengby, MN. Annie Laurie Chilton was born December 27, 1923, to Lee and Elvina (LaDoux) Chilton in Mahnomen. Her early childhood years were spent attending St. Benedict's Mission School in White Earth, MN, followed by high school in Mahnomen. After graduation, Annie moved to California and worked for American Airlines as a "Rosie the Riveter". On July 7, 1945, Annie was united in marriage to Vincent Hull. They made their home on a farm in rural Waubun and were blessed with seven children. Annie was a homemaker, loved to do crafts and had many musical talents. She played the organ at St. Joseph's in Beaulieu for many years and wherever they moved she became the church organist. Annie was born a saleslady! Over the years, she sold everything from Tupperware, Stanley Fuller Brush, Princess House, Watkins, Avon and probably more. Vincent passed away in 2000 and Annie remarried in 2003 to Benedict Bement II. They lived together a few places and as time went on they both lived at the Fosston Nursing Home. Ben died and Annie lived her remaining years at the Cornerstone Assisted Living in Fosston. Annie was a member of the Bejou Auxiliary, St. Joseph's Christian Mothers, and an Oblate of the Crookston Diocese. Her love of music was evident in her day to day living as a devoted Christian. Annie is survived by five children: Marilyn (Bill) Buschette, Duluth, MN, Judith (Rick) O'Malley, Grand Junction, CO, Gary Hull, Graceton, MN, LuAnn (Don) Parker, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Valerie (Donald) Radtke, Lengby, MN; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Wayne Chilton, Billings, MT; one sister, Betty Johnson, White Earth, MN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, 12 siblings; two daughters, Melinda and Kathleen and a granddaughter, Cary.
