Anna Morehart, 87, of Shelly, MN, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Anna Gustava Morehart was born May 10, 1926, near Shelly, MN, one of 11 children of Emil and Bertha (Efteland) Swenson. She was baptized and confirmed in Shelly, MN. She attended school and graduated from Climax (MN) High School.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Morehart on November 28, 1945. They lived in "Little Chicago" rural Shelly until 1949 when they moved to a farm east of Shelly in Good Hope Township. They lived on this farm until 2001, when they moved to their home in Shelly. After Eugene's death in 2002 she continued to live at home before health problems caused her to move to the Fargo/Moorhead area. Anna has lived the last four years at Rosewood on Broadway, in Fargo.

Her passions in life were her family, friends, and her faith. Anna was a devoted member of Bethany Lutheran Church, and was active in Ladies Aid, Circle, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study, Quilting, Bazaar, numerous other fundraising and church events. Anna shared her faith with all. She always made time for her family and friends, and always had a kind word about everyone.

Anna enjoyed spending time baking, cooking, bird watching, and had a great passion for music. Her various CD's (performed by many local talents) carried her through many of her recent medical challenges.

Anna is survived by one son: Randy (Kelly) Morehart, Grand Forks, ND; five daughters: Hazel Becker, Moorhead, MN; Sharon Ressler, Wayzata, MN; Loretta (John) Fuglesten, Detroit Lakes, MN; Gerry Morehart, Halstad, MN; Monica Morehart, Fargo, ND; one brother, Tony (Arlene) Swenson, Mounds View, MN; four sisters: Olga Gregor, Dilworth, MN; Selma Larson, Hendrum, MN; Alice Brenden, Dilworth, MN; and Lucy Doerfler, Mahnomen, MN; twelve grandchildren: DeAnn Becker, Marti' (Corey) Brenner, Jonathan (Christy) Ressler, Rod (Joalyn) Torgerson, Amy Blesie, Angie (Scott) Kurtz, Amber (Sergio) Sanles, Ben (Melissa) Hemberger, Scott (Tiffany) Hemberger, Danielle (Greg) Liebl, BreeAnn (Zach) Bothun, Nathan Kelley, and nineteen great grandchildren: Samantha Jo, Samantha, Tierra, Emmett, Kate, Makayla, Amelia, Sydney, Ethan, Carson, Skyler, Landen, Isaac, Amaya, Grant, Logan, Regan, Jack, Benjamin, four great – great grandchildren, Shawn, Dakota, Dorothy, & August; and several nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers: Selmer, Tilfred, Alert, Martin; one sister Ida DeYoung; one son-in-law: Thomas Becker; one grandson: Richard Becker.

Anna was a kind, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She touched the lives and hearts of everyone she met, and will be dearly missed. May God richly bless the memory of Anna Morehart.

Funeral: 10:30AM, Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Shelly Marsh River Lutheran Church, Shelly, MN.

Visitation: 5-7PM Friday with a 7PM Prayer Service at Fredrikson Valley Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Burial: Shelly Cemetery, Shelly, MN.
