Andy Bentley, 26, of Moorhead, formerly Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Friday in a one vehicle rollover east of Twin Valley.
Andrew "Andy" William Bentley was born September 17, 1982 in Fargo, North Dakota, the youngest son of Roger and Denise (Bement) Bentley. He was raised on a farm east of Twin Valley with his family. Andy attended school in Twin Valley where he was active in football and track. After graduating with the class of 2001, he attended Moorhead Technical School where he studied construction. Over the years he held several jobs in the Fargo-Moorhead area. He was currently working for Stephenson Drywall of Moorhead and also worked part time for Bob Kerns Plumbing of Fargo.
Andy was baptized and confirmed in his faith in the St William Catholic Church and was active in the 4-H club while growing up. He loved the outdoors and all water sports. He was an avid hunter and in fact was in route to his family's deer camp for Saturday's deer opener at the time of his death. Andy also loved playing pool and was on several different pool leagues in the Fargo area. He was currently the captain of the E-Z DUZ IT pool team, which is one of the teams he helped organize. Family and children were very important to Andy, but the time he treasured most was the time he spent with Ryan, Alexis and Gavin.
Andy is survived by his parents, Roger and Denise Bentley, Mahnomen, Minnesota, one brother, Craig (Sarah) Bentley, Felton, Minnesota; his girlfriend, Janel Hruza and her two children, Alexis and Gavin all of Moorhead, Minnesota; grandparents, Eldo and Marlys Bentley, Twin Valley, Minnesota, Ben Bement, Elbow Lake, Minnesota; one nephew, Ryan, Felton, Minnesota and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Jacob in 1993 and his grandmother Sandy Bement.
Funeral Services were held Thursday October 16th at 10:00am in the St. William Catholic Church, Twin Valley. Fr. Joseph DeCrans officiated. Monica Winter served as organist with his Aunt Terri Dahlen and Crystal Musser each providing a musical selection. Pallbearers were Matt Jensen, Troy Jensen, Branden Ruud, Jonathon Hebert, Dave Kemnitz and Gabe Motteberg. Honorary pallbearers were all sportsmen and aspiring sportsmen.
Internment was in the St. William Catholic Cemetery, Twin Valley, Minnesota.
