Obituary

Andrew "Andy" Brian Johnson, age 22, of Winger, Minnesota, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, near Naytahwaush, Minnesota, as a result of injuries sustained in an motorcycle accident.

Andy was born July 10, 1990, in Fosston, Minnesota, the son of Rebecca (Larson) and Kelly Johnson. He grew up in Winger and was baptized and confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church. In 2008, Andy graduated from Win-E-Mac High School. Following graduation, Andy attended Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He was currently working for the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

Andy was an outgoing individual who enjoyed socializing and spending time with his friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports, especially hockey. During high school, Andy played baseball and was also a member of a summer softball team. He had a special relationship with his sister, Michelle. They often spent time together and enjoyed attending Minnesota Twins and Vikings games. Andy loved life and touched many lives. He will greatly be missed by all his family and friends.

Andy is survived by his parents, Rebecca Johnson and Kelly Johnson, both of Winger; sisters, Angie (Danny) Brtek and Michelle Johnson, both of Winger; niece and nephews: Tyler, Alex, Justus and Tony Brtek, all of Bagley, Minnesota; his maternal grandma, Helen London of Fosston, Minnesota; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Andy was preceded in death by a brother, William "Billy" Johnson in 2010; sister, Sara Johnson; his maternal grandpa, Robert London; paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Josie Johnson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Winger.

Visitation was held at Calvary Lutheran Church from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

Interment was in Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, Winger.
