Alice Ormanda Allrich, 85, Halstad, MN, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at the Hillsboro Medical Center, Hillsboro, ND. She was born on October 20, 1927, to Jacob and Hannah (Holte) Hove in Borup, MN. Alice graduated from the Twin Valley High School and then began working at the Ada Municipal Hospital in Ada, MN.
On October 19, 1946, Alice was united in marriage to Rolland Allrich at Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley. They lived in Ada, before moving to Halstad. As a homemaker, Alice ensured that her family was well cared for. In 2004, Rolland passed away and Alice continued to live at her home.
Alice was a long time member of Halstad Lutheran Church, where she was active in the women's circles. She used her spare time and resources to assist others in the community and at the Halstad Lutheran Memorial Home. For several years Alice coordinated the Halstad Senior Citizens organization. She used cloth from all kinds of sources to create beautiful quilts and other items for her family and friends. Over the years Alice created 100's of quilts. Her greatest joy in life was gathering with her family.
Alice is survived by her sons: Raymond (Vicki), Pelican Rapids, MN; Myron (Jean), West Fargo, ND; and Allan (Nancy), Halstad, MN; five grandchildren: Barbra (Kyle) Lingen, Christopher (Shanna) Allrich, Brian(Erin) Allrich, Kristen (Dan) Hanson, Benjamin ( Jenny) Allrich; 12 great-grandchildren: Annika, Hunter, Estella, Alyssa, Aurora, Mariah, Parker, Ryland, Jacob, Eli, Isaac, and Kenleigh; two sisters: Ruth Solien, Fargo, ND and Angeline Hoffman, Bemidji, MN; and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Oliver Hoeglund and Raymond Hove; and two sisters, Carla Rasmusson and Juliet Johnson.

Funeral Service: Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2 PM the Halstad Lutheran Church, Halstad, MN.

Visitation: Visitation will be on Monday, November 19, 2012, from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM in the Fredrikson Valley Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Burial: Halstad North Cemetery, Halstad, MN.
