Alexis Phillips, age 37, of Moorhead, MN, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

Alexis Beryl, the daughter of Darcy Sue Villebrun and David Phillips Sr., was born on September 24, 1986, at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.  She grew up in Northern Minnesota, spending most of her years in the White Earth and Detroit Lakes communities.  In the early 2000's Alexis moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area where she has made her home since.  At the young age of 14, she began working and held various jobs over the years.  Above all, Alexis was most proud of her role as a mother to her four beautiful children.  In addition to being with her family, Alexis liked beadwork, taking selfies and hiking outdoors.  She loved listening to music, the louder the better, while she danced along.  Alexis was a traditional fancy shawl dancer and participated in pow-wows whenever she was able.  She had a heart of gold and went out of her way to help others.  Alexis wore her heart on her sleeve and always said what was on her mind.  Her beautiful smile and her ability to make people laugh was a true gift that will be missed by many.

She is survived by her father, David Phillips Sr.; her children: Ameliah Heinonen, Joseph Butcher Jr., Levi Butcher, and Michael Goodman; her significant other, Eric Goodman; and two brothers: David Phillips Jr. and Spencer Phillips; uncles: James Phillips, Gregory Villebrun and Raymond Villebrun; aunts: Cheri Wright, Lisa Phillips, Karre Ashley, and Stefi Villebrun; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Darcy Sue Villebrun; stepmother, Toni Phillips; one sister, Samantha Phillips; her grandparents; uncles: Mike Phillips, Kenny Phillips, Pat Phillips, Anthony Villebrun, Charlie Beaupre; aunts: Cheri Ann Stoa and Rebecca "Jumbo" Villebrun; and several extended family members, including, Jamie "Honker" Bevins Jr., Jonathan Gusa, Theresa Villebrun, and Tamay Phillips.

Funeral Services will be held at the White Earth Community Center on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.  All night Wake Services will begin Monday, July 22, 2024, at 5:00 pm and continue until the time of the service on Tuesday.
