Albert Peake, age 62, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, July 09, 2008 in Mahnomen, Minnesota.

Albert James was born on March 9, 1946 to Josephine (Butcher) and Harry Peake in York, North Dakota. As a child, he grew up in Pine Point near Ponsford where he attended school through the 12th grade.

Albert served in the United States Army during the years of 1963-1965. Later Albert moved to the Minneapolis, Minnesota, area. While there, he worked several years as a machine operator at flour plant. Throughout the years, Albert was able to further his education, earning a business degree. A few years ago, he moved to Moorhead, MN, and lived with his brother for a short time. Currently, Albert was living in Fargo, North Dakota, where he worked at Harvest States. He also worked at a veteran's volunteer program at the VA Hospital.

In his spare time, Albert enjoyed Traditional Native Dancing, running, going to the casino and traveling. He was a proud member of the White Earth Veterans Association Honor Guard. Albert also loved visiting and teasing his friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponsford Old Pine Point School, Ponsford, MN. Visitation will begin on Sunday, at 5:00PM continuing until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will take place at Breck Memorial Episcopal Cemetery.
