Afton Braseth, 27, Ulen, MN died Saturday, January 16, 2010, as the result of an auto accident near Moorhead, Minnesota.

Afton E. Moher was born August 19, 1982, the daughter of Mike and Siobhan (Powers) Moher in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She attended school in Grand Forks through the first grade, and then moved with her family to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, where Afton completed the 7th grade. Afton's family then moved to Moorhead, Minnesota, where she graduated from Moorhead High. While in high school, Afton was very active in cheerleading, which she thoroughly loved. Afton furthered her education at MSUM where she earned a degree in Criminal Justice. While attending college she coached cheerleading for two years, was a member of the MSUM cheerleading squad, as well as being employed at the Red Dot Uniform Shop in Moorhead. She later went on to be employed by Restore, the Clay County Sherriff's Department, and Lutheran Social Services, working with troubled youth in the Restorative Justice Program.

On September 23, 2006, Afton was united in marriage to Nolan Braseth at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen. Nolan and Afton continued to make their home in Ulen since that time. Afton was currently a stay-at-home mom with two beautiful children; two and a half year old Ansley and three month old Ailey, whom she treasured dearly. Afton's favorite past times included being outside, going camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with her Husband and two children.

Afton is survived by her husband, Nolan, son, Ansley and daughter, Ailey all of Ulen, MN; father, Mike (Christine) Moher of Detroit Lakes, MN, mother, Siobhan (Steve) Anderson of Perham, MN; brother, Jameson (Teah Skalin) Moher; sister-in-law, Natasha Braseth of Moorhead, MN; brother-in-law, Nickoli (Erin) Braseth, father and mother-in-law, David (DeEtt) Braseth all of Ulen, MN; maternal grandmother, Mary Powers of Moorhead, MN and paternal grandmother, Betty Moher of Fargo, ND.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jack Powers, paternal grandfather, Bill Moher and loving pet, Oscar.

Funeral services was held Thursday, January 21st at 11:00 am in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen, MN. Visitation was Wednesday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm all in the church. Visitation was one hour before services at the church on Thursday. Officiating was Pastors Steve Dahl and Jeff McCracken. Carol Lockhart served as organist with Monica Winter and Ken MacDonald serving as vocalist. Pallbearers were David Braseth, Nickoli Braseth, Steve Anderson, Brian Powers, Kevin Powers, Robert Powers.

Burial was in Bethlehem Lutheran North Cemetery, Ulen.
