Obituary

Aaliyah Iron Cloud-Brown, age 19, of Mahnomen, MN, died Friday, February 2, 2024, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Aaliyah Renae Iron Cloud, born on May 2, 2004, in Bemidji, MN, to Shalene (Iron Cloud) Brown and Troy Aamodt, was a resilient soul who found her place in the world through determination and love. Lovingly raised by Shalene and Reginald Brown, she navigated life's challenges with strength and grace. Her educational journey took her through schools in Minneapolis and Mahnomen over the years, and was currently working towards obtaining her GED. She worked day labor for the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen. Despite her busy schedule, she always made time for her loved ones, finding joy in their company.

She was a talented artist, pouring her creativity into her drawings. A perfectionist by nature, she took pride in her appearance, mastering the art of hair and makeup with precision, often practicing on loved ones.

But beyond her talents and achievements, Aaliyah will be remembered for her kindness and warmth. Her beautiful smile brightened the lives of those around her, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though she may be gone, Aaliyah's spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched, her memory serving as a reminder of the power of love and kindness.
